The Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino is a AAA 4-Diamond Awarded hotel that has been newly renovated with everything you would want during your stay. It features gorgeous and comfortable rooms, breathtaking views of the west valley, and oasis-style pools & cabanas.

The hotel has six restaurants ranging from inexpensive eats to top-of-the-line restaurants, including Prime Steak House, located on the 11th floor of the tower.

If you need a distraction, since we all know times can break bad at a casino, you can check out their live concerts, theater, and comedy shows.

We also like to take breaks and get some sunshine at one of their four swimming pools. Those traveling with family will also love the kid's area with a 111-foot water slide! On the roof, there is a restaurant and pool bar. Not to mention a "21 & over" adult party pool.

When you want to get out of the Wild Horse, you can try your hand at the Whirlwind Gold Club at Wild Horse Pass, the KOLI Equestrian Center, or the shopping outlets next door.

You will find it just off Interstate 10 at 5040 West Wil Horse Pass Blvd, in the city of Chandler.

2. Desert Diamond Casino West Valley in Phoenix

With over 75,000 square feet of game space, the Desert Diamond casino is one of our favorite of all the greater Phoenix casinos. You will find the newest slot machines, countless table games, a fantastic poker room, and everyone's favorite classic, bingo.

After some fantastic winnings, you are sure to be hungry! The Desert Diamond Casino has you covered with four amazing fine dining restaurants: Edge Bar, The Rock Bar, the Winners Sports Bar, and the Nineteen 86 Steakhouse.

There is also a great food court with special promotional daily dining deals if you want to keep your expenses down.

The casino also has a number of music, comedy, and live shows for those that desire a little off-the-casino floor entertainment.

The Desert Diamond West Valley Casino is about a 20-minute drive north of downtown Phoenix at 9431 West Northern Avenue in Glendale.

It is about 35 minutes east of Phoenix at 9800 East Talking Stick Way in Scottsdale.

4. Harrah's Ak-Chin

It is no secret that Harrah is one of the top hotel chains in the USA, and this casino is one of the best. If you are a bingo fan, this is your place with numerous games and a fully smoke-free zone.

5. We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort

This gorgeous casino has over 900 of the newest, most progressive, interactive slot machines available that even offer special bonus games.

This is one of the casinos in Phoenix with inexpensive slot machines that allow you to play more and not spend as much. They have all the expected floor games and several nickel games too. Plus, there are several restaurants and even a self-serve drink station, so there is no need to wait on service staff.

People love all the great live entertainment featured at this casino. Since it is a smaller Phoenix area casino, it is more intimate with faster service.

The rooms are very comfy with large HD TVs. Some are even decorated with logos and jerseys from local professional sports teams. Be sure to check out the rooms that have adjoining pools!

It is located farther away from downtown Phoenix than the other casinos mentioned on this list, but it is worth your time and the drive to see some of the newest and best gaming around.

The Gila River Casino is about a 30-minute drive south of Phoenix and is located at 15091 South Komatke Lane in Laveen Village, AZ.

  • Some of these casinos do not allow smoking because of the Smoke-Free Arizona Act. However, those on tribal land are not under the jurisdiction of that law and may allow them.
